twiggy shelves

I found these shelves at our local junk emporium, they were painted a sinister black so I repainted them a spooky white. They are very ecologically made from bits of tree and a couple of old planks. A bit of foraging in the woods and a few nails and you could have some too! I can now waste hours of time arranging suitable displays.

new cushions

I have been busy stitching and photographing and have just put some new cushions into my Etsy shop, they will be appearing on my website soon. Two colourways at the moment, teal and olive both on white or natural linen. My collection of Ercol furniture always comes in handy as props for my photographs, it's lightness and elegance provides the perfect backdrop.

I have been printing a new design today, this was inspired by some vintage fabric that I made into cushions. They were very popular and soon sold out, so this is my version.  I am still choosing colours, can't help being drawn to the bold and bright, I like them vibrant! 

These are printed onto unbleached linen but I am also going to print onto natural linen, they should be in my shop soon.

loud storage jars

This week I found a new charity shop, this counts as great excitement in my life! For £1.00 each I found some storage jars that shout at me every time I go in to the kitchen, a more polite teapot all the way from Paris and a little ceramic bird to go with one I already have - how sweet!

bird life

Who doesn't love birds? We are lucky to live high up in SE London overlooking woodland so we see all kinds of bird life, from stringy London pigeons to noisy flocks of green parakeets, even a kestrel swooped in on a mouse in our tiny garden. In bird spotter style we list them on our black board. Birds feature in my ever expanding collection of charity shop and boot sale finds, here is just a small selection of my current favourites, there are a lot more!
