spring colours
I have introduced a new spring colourway for my siesta cushions and sardana screenprint, a lovely fresh periwinkle blue and chocolate. The white linen cushion is in my shops now and the print will follow soon.

marmalade time
Apparently it's the season to make marmalade. So, inspired by Lou at little green shed I tracked down some Seville oranges and set about making some this weekend and what a sticky process it turned out to be. Horrified by the amount of sugar needed I reduced the quantity which was probably not a good idea as the result is a bit tangy! Being me, I had to pot it up in a selection of vintage jars so at least it looks nice! For some instant Spanish sunshine to cheer us up in these winter months I have reduced the price of my Sardana prints. Available now for just $45 my etsy and £28 in my online shop while stocks last.

party on
Every town and village here has its Festa Major once a year when everyone joins in with music, theatre, parades and dancing, usually finishing of with the traditional sardana. Our village fiesta takes place in September so we are rarely here to attend. The next village to ours is celebrating this weekend and this cheerful poster makes me want to check out DJ Razz tonight!

bravo espana!
I am sure they were dancing in the streets in our sleepy little village last night, well done to Spain for winning the World Cup!

sardana

I've been screen-printing some of my Sardana prints. The Sardana is a traditional Catalan dance performed by young and old at village fiestas and holidays. The dancers should really be in a circle - but that didn't fit in with the composition! It is available to buy on my website and Etsy shop. The original illustration was inspired by a tiny village in Catalonia where we have a family house. We go there as often as we can and I'm really looking forward to some Spanish sunshine this year as just today the met office has announced that it's not going to be a 'barbecue' summer here as predicted but yet another wet, grey one, what a surprise!
